Song To The Siren

We’re all doomed

Doomed to die

So we must sing our songs

To the heavens

and find some joy.

If not, we’re already dead

So why not just dig the grave

And climb in?

Cover ourselves in the dirt

Of dreams unlived

Be eaten by the worms of regret

And lost chances untaken

But we’re not dead yet

We’re still alive

So let’s sing our songs

To the heavens high

And find that joy

That is our birthright.
