STONE

I cast a stone,

A forgone glory,

The tossed and lost,

Like weary soldiers of life,

Making a delightful splash,

Sending out glorious ripples,

In all directions to the distant shores,

The wave comes back to where it started,

The heartbreak, the agony, the bloodshed, the irony,

The twisted way of life, full of wretched fear and hate,

The stone comes back to stone us.

The stone is made of us.

The stone dissolves in the ocean.

The stone changes.

We change.
