Stuck in a bubble

At first it feels uneasy
the taste of restlessness
the air of stagnancy mixed with uncertainty
a wet blanket sits over all moods
you drink salty frustrated tears
like you’re stuck in a bubble
that’s just going with the flow
uncertain where you’ll end up
this is it?
will you ever find your shore?
will these waters ever outgrow
life’s tides high and low
after all you never know
when things change
you’re redirected
an act of God
sight of a new rainbow
but cycles of the moon pass you by
you watch others catch a new sunrise
while in your eyes another night sighs
as you wait
lie low
take it slow
until out of the blue overflow
you feel a stirring within
maybe you’re just stuck in a bubble
but if you bounce differently
you’ll make your own show
so you giggle and gurgle
create your own splash
make ripples, however little
you give it your best from head to toe
making the most of what you have
you make waves
whilst going with the flow.
