Sun and Moon

I saw the Sun
Kiss your shoulder
To nuzzle you awake

I saw the Moon
Pull the covers
Back up to your pretty face

They do this twice
Per day and yet
It never really gets old

Luna tucks you in
At night and then
You wake with Sol

He sees you light
The day and then
Reluctantly He sets

Stifling a yawn
He looks at Luna
And says, “Not yet”

Luna smiles and
Winks at you
As Sol begins to snore

She whispers nighttime
Stories, claiming
Sol is such a bore

It’s all good fun
In sharing you
Their lights do become one

They both delight
 In watching you
 This Moon, and this Sun
