Supressed Authencity

Hidden beneath several layers,
A plea for help sounds voicelessly,
Unheard & ignored it subdues into silence,
Losing itself in prayers

People refuse to see what's beyond their sight,
Fearing the complexity of the unknown,
To them my inner voice lacked conviction,
Their disbelief absorbing all my light

Each day one layer I shed,
Only to end embracing new ones,
Living a dream under the garb of deceit,
Being truly myself I dread

Beyond the sight of this world I Iie,
Heavy with sorrow my heart sinks deep within,
Wading through swamps of stagnation,
The authencity within me slowly dies
