Take Me Home

Take me home
Please, take me home
Not to that harrowing country house
Not to where my parents bruised me
Formed this mess from who I was
This mess in front of you
Please take me to an open plain
From where I’ll have a perfect view
Of all my childhood suffering

Please, take me home
There’s not much time left now
For one last glimpse at this emotion
At this stainless sense of
You and I as one
That heals my burning feeling fibre
Before I close my weary eyes
With one last crowning vision
Of your ever-loving face
