like a bee to pollen

A momentary vagueness.
Followed by a glossy grin.
Then that wicked stare.
Pierces right through me.
Overwhelmed by a feeling
of complete nakedness.
Hot and cold flushes
wearing down my resistance.
Until the defenses are washed away.

I cannot fight this battle.
For the demons are within me.
Ripping my morals to shreds.
To lie in tatters
as I contemplate why
all conquering love
cannot provide the shield
from ragged emotions
and that growing stirring in my loins
that only your wicked stare brings.
