The day I bump into myself

Soon I’ll bump into myself
I know I’ll see a stranger
She’ll ask how I am and I’ll say: “All the same”
The day I bump into myself
It’s not that I’m looking for this day
But I’m tired of this game
Of pretending to be someone else
Maybe I’ll find joy on this day
The peace of letting things go
Of watching the curtains to fall
Throw away all these masks
With their coal-painted smiles
Be myself after all
