That fickle minded thing called faith

Have you contemplated that flickering flame on the top of the candle?
That can go off any moment, but it holds onto something.

Isn’t that faith?

Have you been through the roads, on a rainy day?
That feeling of knowing your way, even when you know you’re lost.

Isn’t that faith?

Have you thought about the universe in great depth?
And how you are nothing more than a grain of sand, and yet gigantic?

Isn’t that faith?

Have you met a loved one in the hospital, in pain, with twinges?
And you’ve that glimmer of ‘everything will be alright, and everyone unharmed’?

Isn’t that faith?

And have you ever spread your arms, in the drizzle?
With all the pain, you witness, that one drop seems to make everything alright.

Isn’t that faith?
