The Finger Wave of Creation

Imagine you could make the world in your hands
and all it took was a movement; but
so precise that one hairsbreadth wrong and
the laws of physics work backwards;
one shiver in execution and the chemicals
only explode in raindrops.

I tell you what the finger wave
god made was something and no wonder
he rested

Imagine you could take the world in your hands
and shape it like clay, boy
would that be a fucked up imprecise beast
of a world; I guess maybe that’s where
god went wrong, he used clay instead
of dancing us into existence and the edges
remain unsharpened.

Imagine you could break the world in your hands
and all it took was a word.
