The First Snow
Snowflakes drift down from the heavens
Dancing and fluttering in the winter winds
Banishing darkness from the night
A girl gazes, eyes uplifted
As she bestows an angel its pair of wings
And there's nobody else in sight
It's so foreign, so cold, so new
She laughs and trips to the sound of her heart's whims
And snow whispering "it's alright"
