There was a scar on the back that rifted a Vast expanse

and the factors so many they fell together in tiny little plenty

that gravitated towards a pull that pushed it apart

and exposed the ever darkening mark revealing a shunning dance.

For the Far from afar it looked like wildly dancing many

The Siren’s Song by JakeMurray

forming a lady river with all of them flowing in their own perfect dark

none of them ever discovering the trance of time within their eternal dance

and to the demise of the Vast they continued giving in to the soulful villainy.

This scar is still growing.

Author’s note: “The Far” and the “The Vast” are species in forthcoming stories.
