The Moon

Specks of stars sprinkled in space,

shimmered in the night sky.

Majestically hung in the heavens above,

was a sphere of illumination,

watching over the world as it slept.

And when the daylight swept in,

the quiet of the night replaced by the fierceness of the sun,

it slipped back into the shadows,

until it was time for it to manifest itself once again.
