The splinter of hope

The darkness of heart roars loud
The dignity screams
The souls shivers and shatters
And then a sliver of hope staggers within

How long till the pain goes away?
How far till the screams fade into nothingness?
How deep till the mind looses rationale?
But then an ounce of contentment calms down the storm

The emotions fight with logics
The ego clashes with cravings
The desires have a war with needs
And then a smile sobers it all

Living being pass through
Footprints speak up
Existence ceases to matter
And then the presence of just one souls caters for it all.
