Photo taken in 2013 along HWY 101 in Nova Scotia, Canada. Edited with Snapseed.

There is a distance between us, physically cognizant, emotionally palpable.
A history confusing enough, a raising one self-inflicts as inhabitable.
A child continually distraught, but untouched by a continually self-driven optimism for contentment.
A fearful father frets, though little he knows there is no resentment.
A child knows there is a love profound, one he can reflect upon to remove a frown.
Merry Christmas old man and know, that all I need is a smile with a hello.
All I need is the odd why to my desires.
All I need is support for my actions, though they may not be your desires.
All I need is support if I fall, I don’t need money, nor items, nor nothing at all. I’ll see you soon, one afternoon, where we’ll have a drink, and stomp an East coast tune.
