There is no magic

There is no magic
Not like you think
You who shout of gods and demons
Who feel my energy and commune with spirits in everyday objects
Who turn ritual from gateway into revered object
Who take epiphany and fill it with lessons of non-existent beings
You who fear science because you distrust reason
And cannot see in it the beauty of the universe apprehending itself
There is only mystery and wonder and gazing at starlight and nothingness
You who strip the world of wonder
There is no magic
Not like you think
