Tick Tock

Tick Tock… Tick Tock…
The shifting shadows,
Now the sun,
Now the moon,
As I hear the clock —
Tick Tock!
The grains of sand
Pour through,
Heavy and light
All at once,
With a reminder:
PATIENCE!
For those who wait, they say,
Good things may come.

But DEATH awaits,
And waits
For no one.

Tick… Tock…

So one must ACT
Or suffer regrets —
S u f f e r …
R E G R E T S.

The time is always ripe
To do…
To do…

To do what?

To Wait?
To Act?

Which is it?
Which way to go?
Patience?
Or Action?

I don’t know…

I don’t know…
