Tidings

Riding asphalt, bluer skies
Half-awake between naps on high
Glimmering down on green below
Who’s to say? Only clouds should know

Kissed by sunstreak on the glass
Silhouettes passing all too fast
Maybe a dream, warm cheeks don’t last
Tomorrow or someday, they fly right past

Love away oh sleekest sky
Sing as bird, and so do I
We are dreamers two between
Now or not, this love we bring

Tingling cheeks against the pane
Shadows bearing spring-sweet fame
Little ones to come and go
Surest sight, the green does grow

Spinning jets do leave a trail
Squinting eyes, on light we sail
Now again, forever and more
Nostalgia knocking at our door

Lovers caught, two blooming spies
Sniff the buds, a warm surprise
Lowered lids as sun takes set
Kissed once more, one love at rest
