To: no veil

dear no veils day,
as you’ve yawned on
your wards stretching past my side to side
horizon
binding the ink channel
quickening the fix
why now are you not quiet?
To the sound made visible
in green moist stands of California coastal forest
ushered in with tea and chocolate
erupting chuckles.
where giant root tapestries
upturned have made instant altars
for tying our passing flavored faiths
back into the dirt
by simply falling
then
zooming off and through with laughter, cackling and free
no legs dancing whizzing all around me
i tip my hat to the gatekeeper queen
smiling as her curtain cape wraps the scene
