Time to put more change in the meter
Some think
rhymin’ with no timin’
is a
poem that’s not flowin’.Poets know it’s
likely
meter-needin’ readers
require
informin’ ’bout free formin’.We do our word arrangin’
with the thought of changin’
someone’s mind.Maybe it’s tweakin’ I’m speakin’
even gaffin’ so they’re laughin’
but the window-washin’ we do
just might change their view.So don’t be doubtin’
the lesson I’m shoutin’
it’s not syllable countin’
or total words mountin’It’s the message
