Transcendental

I see these chains in the sand
I smell the blood in the water
and in the city behind me
filth is flooding the gutters

From the schools and the villages
women taken and children
in the boardroom and alleyways
raping, cheating and killing them

So we suck at humanity
and we slack at society
get drunk on blood wrung from bullets
as we abandon sobriety

A pirated posterity
our looted lives form a sediment
but a rest at the bottom
gets you a boot to the fundament

From the slime and the ooze
rose civilizations and history
upwards is still the trajectory
to take us to our epitome

No wars or religions
and no possessions or nations
we’re going to live in a world
like the imagination of Lennon

I’m not a prophet or oracle
but I believe in the evidence
I know the words that we speak
make us the victim of violence

So they’ll be burning our bodies
and then they scatter the ashes
and yes they do it at sea
so that we’re resting in pieces

But we’ll be laughing in wave fronts
at those ignorant bitches
you want to dance on our graves
you’re gonna sleep with the fishes

You see, we slipped all the moorings
but haven’t lost our direction
we just flipped from an earthbound
to a cosmic connection

No need to paint us a road sign
the destination is evident
no jet propulsion is needed
the speed of thought is our element

Won’t rise on columns of gas
our levitation is green-stormed
we connect to the source
and move in patterns of waveforms

We fly free on a cross-breeze
of interstellar phenomena
wave hello to the Dog Star
and set a course for Andromeda

And right here is our slavedom
over there is transcendence
translated to energy
so that we shine incandescent

All our present predicaments
start to lose their significance
now cometh the kingdom
transhumanity’s imminence
