Two Years

Two years,
It’s been two years —
The tides have shifted
On sand replaced
By lesser sand

Spitting salak stones
Through morbid
Crawling
Nights
Your fingers left your marks
Of fire on my lukewarm skin
Your lips shine in this
Perfect lack of symmetry
As they have been
In longest summer

Winter and summer again,
As doors closed when
Dream hinges failed to
Keep them opened
To return

Borneo,
Horizon line through
This cage of sentiment
With haunting moments of
Naked skin on naked skin
That scream through oceans,
Forests, mountains,
Your name as loud
As then
And following three words
Unheard, unspoken,
But waiting still
For you to claim

For they are yours alone
