Vibrations

Photo by Inge Maria on Unsplash

We laughed at rainfall’s sweet symphony
That mysterious serenade of drops
Bashing on the metal roof lulling
Hearts to gentle peace that calms
Minds in ugly chatter of looping thoughts

We breathed fresh rain washed air
We breathed inspiration as we
Watched the cascade of old notions roll
Down transparent panes wiping off
The ugly stains of sun-baked dust

We watched the mist of our anxiety form
On the panes then we watched again as it
Vanished when we let in the rain cooled air
We watched water splash and ripple vibrations
Eternal emissions that spoke peace; quiet to hurried living
