Wake up! God’s Dreaming
An ever-persistent star illusion
Dreamt up dreams by God’s confusion
Lying there on cosmic bed
Borne away through lover’s head
Silent galaxies, spinning suns,
Children of dreams, the sleeping ones
A billion lives from here to there
Finite infinities, all lives of err
Who are you to say you are,
Oh ye child beneath her star?
Stranger memories, boundless thought,
She the one to whom we’re brought!
Beautiful dreams, a needless nightmare,
Awaken to bliss — her ever-loving star-stare!
Fear not, worry not, cease all your screaming;
Wake up! Wake up!
Don’t you know?
