Watching Gustav

The eyes were always watching Gustav
stretched fabrics and elongated figures
racing each other in their sensuous curves
to bifurcate and splurge into
and away from one another cataclysmically.

Incidental polished teeth, grinning sleepily
at horrified demi-godesses inclined to flee
at the slightest provocation,
while pygmies, to spite their stature
flit like springboks on the veld.
