Calloused tired
feet find respite
in the cool shade
diamonds ephemeral dance
across the water
toes freely begin
a sensuous suckle in the warm mud.
Further and further until
ankles adorned by laurels of green
give way to the cold
in search
of treasure bright
below the surface.
Pleasure mixes with
danger giving in
to the laughter of the rocks.
Water swells, cool, gleaming.
An ecstatic rush of fire ice
dizzily swirl into you.
