Why this in your life?

Once I was seven years old,
my mom told me to go for schooling,
I’ve done that.
Once I was eleven years old,
my dad asked me to attend college,
and I did so.
Once I was seventeen years old,
my friends called me to finish graduation,
I had to obey this too.
Once I was twenty years old,
my love pushed me to start work-life,
I finally had to simply agree.

Soon I’ll be thirty years old,
alone and away from all of them, in my office, forever searching that smile they all promised I will have.
