With You
I want to explore the world with you
Watch people in the crossroad traffic
And make stories about their lives.
Walk past all the city lights
And dance barefoot on stone pavements,
Under yellow street lights.
Visit bookstores and smell the pages from old books
Find random passages,
And read them out to you.
Go around sipping endless cups of coffee
From roadside cafe,
To stalls by the sea.
Lay bare skin
Under the white hotel room sheets,
Kissing with wine-drenched morning breath.
Sleep until noon on one of those lazy days
Sip tea in the balcony,
Watching the leaves sway.
On rainy days
Turn up the music,
To sing along all the mellow songs we play
When the autumn comes,
Crunch the fallen dried leaves
As we go for long walks in the sunset.
Watch the clouds turn,
From blazing red to purple to bruised blue
And stay a little longer,
To watch the stars come through.
Swim on the waves of salty seas
Climb the trails of smokey peaks
Dance in the empty pubs of small towns
And when we get bored of all the moving around
We can just come back home and settle down.
