World in Flames

Turn on the news, the world’s in flames
The screen is filled with hurt and rage
The noise and hate invades your brain
Alone in the dark with so much pain
When you can’t find the words
And don’t know what to say
Resist the urge to turn away
You are not to blame, harness the shame
Find your voice, speak your mind
Don’t let apathy leave you behind
Stand up for the truth, step in to the light
Leave the mistrust, the darkness on the other side
You know that love conquers hate
So open the gate
Join the debate
The riot in your head is just your conscience
Telling you that this is the time
To have your say
