Would You Believe It?

Someone came for you, someone loves you so much
All they want to do is give your heart a touch
For what’s the name of the game in love?
To sacrifice all for your one beloved

You may sin and you may stray
You might just turn and walk away
But all you have to do is in her love believe
Someone gave for you, gave it all, you see?

You are loved, a shining star
The praise of angels from afar
You the sinner, you the thief
You the king of every fief

Would you believe it? She loves you so much
She sent her son to give you a touch
Like mother, like child, all there the same
For you she brought, for you she came

I’m but a mouthpiece for this truest love’s say
You may not know her, but she thinks of you every day
You the forgotten, even you the remembered
She came for you on a day past December

Whether surrounded by friends or all alone on a bench
She’ll hold you ever close, she’ll tear down every fence
Now you may ask, “what must I need?”
I say for all, and to all:

Believe
