You are a woman

so why do you walk like your presence is a mistake?

You were made second only because the world couldn’t live without you,

and the anatomy of your body doesn’t stand a chance against the anatomy of who you are -

Who am I? you ask me, but do not ask, just tell me.

Because I think you already know

that the the future exists in your determined walk,

even if history nips at your feet.

Six Years of poetry-only publishing, PoetsUnlimited was a diverse, engaging and authentic poetry magazine. For most of that time a daily publication, it was always diverse and original, and free-to-read by all.
