Your Eyes

Your eyes twinkle
And in them I see
Through myself
Piercing love

Your eyes wilt
There is sadness
For what might have been
And all that was possible

Your eyes shine
I see so much
Almost too much
I look away

They’re all the same
Flashes of pupils
Glimpses of moments
Then, now, and to come

Perhaps this is all
We really live for
Seeking the divine
Through your eyes

Your eyes
They see
You seeing me
