Your lack of love, my dismay.

The phone ringed tonight.

How I wished it said your name.

We’ve been stuck in this fading feature,

your lack of love, my dismay.

I look at the hollow faces,

I see nothing but your name.

Forfeiting any absolution,

you’re not my home anymore,

that’s the proclaim.

My home is so long ago,

and so far away.

Deprecated by my reluctant displacement.

Decayed when you gave me your heart,

And I took your act of affection as a cliche.

I’m terrified of being alone.

Yet, I keep my self-deluded ways.
