Oh tonight let’s eat brains, scrambled brains

beaten old-fashioned, hand-cranked style

by an eggbeater that whirs oddly away

found in the antique shop, hey!

Into the bowl go Too Much Information

Too Many Voices, Rules and Expectations

Crank that baby, spatter them brains

across the bowl of my skull, hey!

Beat them until they’re frothy and light

Don’t stop till they’re brimming over

Remember to incorporate lots of noise and air

With TV news for the spice, hey!

Oh brains for dinner, uniform and grey

Mushy or hashed, scrambled or fried

Brains for dinner, scooped out of my head

and how do you prefer yours tonight?
