Developments of the French SaaS ecosystem and Winning Strategies adopted by French SaaS companies

SaaStr came to Europe for the first time and chose Paris as the location for their initial event. As a very active SaaS investor in France, we thought with Clement that it was a great occasion to analyse and present a few findings about the French SaaS ecosystem.

Clement did most of the research and already published the landscape here and mentioned some interesting stats in French here and in English there.

To make the presentation at SaaStr a little more lively, I’ve focused mainly on two aspects:

i) First, I’ve looked at the developments of the ecosystem in the past 2 years and wondered how important the SaaS ecosystem was for the French ecosystem as a whole.

ii) Second, I’ve tried to understand what were the winning strategies for some of the emerging French SaaS leaders.

You’ll also find a couple of examples of interesting French SaaS companies.
But enough about the context, here are the slides, which hopefully should all be self explanatory.
