The time for reason is over!

What has it done for us anyway?

So, Donald Trump might not have the firmest grasp of the implications for abrogating Geneva conventions or what would be reasonable to do with the country’s nuclear arsenal.

His only military background consists of weirdly (creepily) dominating a military prep school. But perhaps this means he is more likely to overturn our current counterterror / counterinsurgency strategies. And, frankly, what could possibly be worse than the last 15 years in that regard?

Similarly, in the field of economics, the consensus from both the left and right wing political parties has yielded only sluggish growth and labor force participation levels last seen in the final season of Mad Men — so why not vote for a reality TV frontman?

The definition of insanity, it has been said, is to continue to do the same thing when it is clearly not producing the desired outcome. Voting conventionally in 2016 would be, therefore, the definition of insanity. It would be foolish! This leaves us to consider a protest vote for a Socialist senator from Vermont or a vote for a guy who has declared bankruptcy every time the going gets tough.

That is exactly the kind of moxie that kept our financial system alive (more or less) eight years ago, and it’s what we at the #LittleBlogThatCould can get behind in a presidential candidate. Vote Trump! Even if he has freakishly small hands. What the hell, right?
