DC Nation #0 review

DC Nation #0 is a rather important comic, it features three stories that will show what the future of our favorite heroes will be like. It is, in fact, a sort of preview of some of the upcoming stories from DC Comics: The Wedding of Batman and Catwoman, Man of Steel, and No Justice.

The first story in this comic focuses on the Joker, written by Tom King and drawn by Clay Mann and Jordie Bellaire.

All the Clown Prince of Crime does is terrorize an innocent man, and it’s brilliant. Tom King does and amazing job of capturing the Joker’s essence, and the art completely embraces Joker’s madness, starting from the tiny details of the clown’s face, which is terrifying in this story.

Following up is a Superman story written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez.

The story is set in the present, and apparently Lois Lane left the Daily Planet, and neither her colleagues nor Clark have heard from her since. Overall, the story was not very clear, and fully understanding what’s going on is difficult. The art, however, is beautiful and vibrant, and it was very pleasant.

The third and also the last story featured in this comic is focused on the Justice League and the No Justice event.

There’s not much going on, we get to know about the different teams that will be active during this event, and that’s pretty much it.

DC Nation #0 surely set the bar pretty high for the stories that will come out, and I couldn’t be more excited to see what will happen next.
