Unfortunately, the gaming gods have frowned upon us once again in the realm of cross-platform mutliplayer, a Bandai-Namco representative has told IGN that Dark Souls: Remastered will not support the feature.

While there have previously been rumors circulating that it would be supported, the representative said emphatically Dark Souls: Remastered “will not have cross-platform play.”

While this is a major disappointment, players can still enjoy the graphical overhaul the game will feature, with 4k 60fps support for Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, and PC with 1080p 30fps support for the Nintendo Switch in TV mode.

The game drops May 25, 2018 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
