The Elder Scrolls: Legends is a card combat game based on the Elder Scrolls universe. It released on PC in March and tablets soon after, but up until now there was no mobile version, which has left some would-be players without an option to pick the game up.

The game is free to play on Androids and iPhones, but — of course — you can buy card packs for real-world currency. Players will also have to pay if they want to use the Heroes of Skyrim expansion pack which came out a month ago on other platforms. The expansion added two new card types to the game: dragon and shout. The new content is based on The Elder Scrolls V which is the latest roleplaying game of the series.

Legends gameplay features a two-lane approach to the classic CCG. Rather than having a single area to play and use cards, Legends maps have two sides. This gives user the option to defensively balance cards between lanes or more aggressively stack one side.

The unique game features and rich lore surrounding the game should allow it to compete with other top CCGs like Hearthstone and Magic: The Gathering. Of course, releasing a streamlined version on mobile is an important step in gaining that popularity.
