Covid-19 and Texas MSA’s

At the Salem Center for Policy, we have been gathering information about large areas of economic activity in Texas, starting with Austin and then expanding to cover 20 other major MSAs, in order to make policy recommendations about re-opening the economy with the effect of Covid-19 in mind. Our data focuses on GDP and employment by sector, baseline risks of contracting Covid-19 by sector, and employment changes throughout the Covid-19 crisis.
