On Monday, June 9, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte presented a keynote address at London’s Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House). He outlined the key priorities for the upcoming NATO Summit in The Hague, set to take place from June 24 to 26.
In his keynote pre-Summit speech, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte set out how NATO will become a stronger, fairer and “more lethal” Alliance. During his speech and conversation with the audience, Mr Rutte outlined how NATO is going to spend more on defence and increase defence production to face a more dangerous world. With a new defence investment plan at its heart, the Secretary General explained how this is about to transform the Alliance.
