What Is Policy?

Policy Panorama is a publication for thoughtful discussions on public policy and other sorts of policy.

A public policy is what a government does or does not do regarding a certain issue.

Zooming out, we can define a policy (without the “public”) as any guideline or norm, or system of guidelines or norms, that outlines correct and incorrect actions.

A nation may have a policy of non-intervention in foreign affairs; a corporation may have a policy of letting employees work from home; and a family may have a policy of not using phones at the dinner table.

Examining issues through the lens of policy creates opportunities for in-depth, rational conversations that help us understand cause and effect.

Articles We Want to Publish in Policy Panorama

We want to publish your articles that discuss or relate to policy. Policy doesn’t necessarily need to be the core focus of your article, but should be a key element.
