Meet the Polis Team
Hello Polis Community,
As you know, the Polis Team has remained anonymous since the beginning of the project. We are glad to announce that we are now ready to share our identities with you and the world!
We want to thank the community for trusting a project where they barely knew the people involved, which we know it is never easy, but we also believe that the fact that a lot of people trusted Polis speaks of a genuine value within the project, that users have come to appreciate, and we couldn’t be any more thankful for that.
We would also like to provide you with an in-depth look to the situations that led to us coming public today, so keep reading if you want to understand how being anonymous was like for the Polis Team and what should we expect in the near future.
At first, this decision made sense as our anonymity did not interfere with our working process or the quality of our services. We firmly believed that such projects should be evaluated by their accomplishments, not the people working on them.
In addition, our legal team advised to do so as it would be safer for everyone, as the relevant crypto regulation was being discussed at our home country: Mexico. For months, the future of a project like Polis and its derivatives was uncertain within the Mexican territory. Since 2017, such regulations have developed into an appropriate medium though which Polis is now able to thrive.
There was also a human component to such decision. As some regions of the country had some periods where the social environment did not offer security conditions for the people involved in the project. It was reasonable to think that becoming public could potentially turn into a threat for the team.
Through this time, we always knew that the community wanted the developer and management teams to become public. We understood the elements of accountability and confidence such act would bring to the project, so even if we did not consider such action as a priority, we started working to make it a reality as soon as possible.
Fast forward to today, we are now ready to present you the faces of the Polis Team and the software company behind it: Kindynos.
Kindynos is the software company that develops all the technology behind Polis and PolisPay, created by the Polis Team with the purpose of having a legal and management structure that will enable us develop the Polis Project.
