Polis Core: Trezor support
The Polis Team values the safety of our users, we want to offer the best and most secure options and features to them. That is why we are implementing Trezor support.
For the past couple of weeks, the team has been working hard on implementing Trezor support. One of the most advanced and secure hardware wallets now supports Polis.
In the coming weeks, we’ll officially announce Trezor support for PC versions (macOS, Windows, and Linux) mobile versions will not be available.
Trezor
Trezor is a hardware wallet that provides advanced and secure cold storage for cryptocurrency private keys and the ability to spend with the convenience of a hot wallet.
Some wallets on the market are both safe and durable, but often pay the price of decreased user-friendliness and limited features. On the other hand, there are intuitive and simple to use wallets, but with elements that might pose a security risk. Trezor provides the features that you expect from a hardware wallet: security, usability, and now, support of your favorite cryptocurrency; Polis.
Model T
Polis is currently only supported on Trezor Model T, their flagship model is the balance between security and usability.
The Model T is safeguarded by three security layers of protection: the randomly generated recovery seed, the user-created PIN, and the passphrase feature. These three security layers make the Model T one of the most secure hardware wallets. It is never connected to the internet meaning that it is virtually impossible for a hacker to access your funds.
As mentioned, usability is one of the key features that is why the Model T is as simple to use as using a smartphone. You can control the device through the Trusted display in combination with the color touchscreen of Model T.
Polis Core: Masternodes Tools
The Polis Core Team values the safety of our users, we want to offer the best and most secure options and features to them. That is why we implemented Trezor support, one of the most advanced and secure hardware wallets.
Running masternodes through Trezor will be extremely safe since funds for the collateral will no longer be kept on a desktop wallet and they will be stored on the Trezor device, either Model One or Model T as they will safe-keep the private keys.
The Polis-masternode-tool is able to run masternodes from the collateral in Trezor hardware wallet storage. At the moment, both Trezor One and model T are supported by Polis, although users will need to upgrade the firmware of Model One to version 1.8.2.
