Polis Core

A new version of Polis Core, v1.6.1, is being developed. This version will address the activation of quorums on the mainnet, once these become active PoSe will enter in full effect.

This version is still being developed and will be released shortly. Stay tuned for more updates.

PolisPay

We are thrilled to introduce the latest release, PolisPay v8.3.1. PolisPay app v8.3.0 introduces a bug in the preliminary rate displayed on Shift’s first screen. This has been fixed in v8.3.1 which has just been released, alongside minor improvements.

This release includes the following fixes:

— Fixes a bug that displayed the wrong rates on Shift.

— Improves usability on non-touch screen devices.

— Fixes a bug when entering satoshi amounts while sending.

PolisPay card

We are thrilled to announce that the PolisPay card is back.

As part of our goal of implementing a debit card, that would allow any user to spend their crypto as quickly as they would using fiat currency, we started negotiations with card provider Union Pay, who opened up the possibility of using their cards within our app.

That is why we have finalized the process of negotiation and will begin the new process of developing the integration of prepaid Union Pay cards to the PolisPay app. Users will soon be able to use a debit card to spend their crypto on real-world goods and services.

Launch of the Closed Beta

The closed beta sign-up process has officially finalized today, February 12th, 2020. We will inform the community about which are the next steps, next week.

PolisPay: partnership announcement

We are glad to announce the inclusion of BitGreen to the PolisPay payment platform.

BitGreen has designed a revolutionary new consensus mechanism called ‘The Green Protocol’, an energy-efficient, extremely fast proof-of-stake, and masternode mining agreement to act as a sustainable replacement for Bitcoin’s current proof-of-work algorithm, a solution to the problematic exponential increase in energy consumed by other proof-of-work currencies. BitGreen is the sustainable cryptocurrency built for energy-efficient transactions on the green blockchain. We believe this gets us closer to bringing massive adoption to crypto around the world.

PolisNodes

The past week we made a couple of announcements about what we have in store, we are really excited about the upcoming future, stay tuned for further updates. We wanted to share with the community what are our future plans for the PolisNodes platform, in the coming months we have planned the following things:

1. Add a much greater variety of coins to the platform.
2. Add a much greater variety of currency payments, which will be converted to Polis.
3. Add a referral system.
4. Make the PolisNodes API public, in an effort that anybody can make their own hosting platform using the PolisNodes system.
5. Add advanced features like reindexing button or watch block.
6. 24/7 support.
7. Allow users to create multiple masternodes at the same time.
8. Upgrade the masternode creation time, improve efficiency.

We also recently announced that PolisNodes now accepts DASH as currency payment. We will be adding more coins every week, stay tuned for the announcements.

Zoom Webinar

Community member Frank and Hans will host a Zoom Webinar with special. The call will be held this Wednesday, February 12th, 2020, at 07:00 PM PT.

Governance

As you may know, we recently launched a couple of proposals to be funded by the governance; these are the proposals:

— polis-chain-tools-and-explorer
— polis-governance-tools-good
— polis-governance-tools
— testproposal

These proposals no longer require funding; that is why we are asking the community to vote NO on the proposals mentioned earlier. The proposals must be denied funding before the next superblock because, at the moment, the funding required exceeds the available budget, thus impairing the other proposals from receiving their funding.

To vote NO on each proposal, go to the debug console and type the following commands:

Polis Blockchain

Community members, Hans and Frank, have developed a PolisPay mobile landing page that allows any user to share the PolisPay related info to anyone in the world, in just a few taps. For the landing page here, and for a tutorial on how to upload it head here.
