Polis Core
We have been informed that Cryptobridge will be closing in 4 days. Users that have funds there must IMMEDIATELY withdraw them. Users that don’t do it ASAP will lose their funds on the exchange.
PolisPay
The team has been working very hard on the next PolisPay release, version 8.0.0. This release is a complete revamp to the entire platform, where new technologies will allow it to be faster, secure and more stable than ever.
The revamp emphasizes the restructuration of the services and moving them to brand new architecture. In such a way, that it prioritizes both the efficiency and security of the information while also making the PolisPay app a much faster and fluid experience.
What users can expect from v8.0.0:
— ETH is now supported on the PolisPay app.
— Gift cards, this service has been completely revamped with a wide variety of gift cards being added to the app. Gift cards, such as mobile top-up, internet recharges, DTH providers and many more, available to the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, UK, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, and the US.
The gift cards currently work for BTC, POLIS, and Dash. More crypto assets will follow.
Every gift card that is purchased with Polis will have a 0% fee. Gift cards purchased with other cryptocurrencies will have a 4% surcharge.
— Shift services have received tremendous upgrades, making more stable and faster than ever. Shift works for BTC, POLIS, and Dash. More crypto assets will follow.
— Trezor integration has been finalized. Desktop users can now save their crypto assets in the safest way possible via Trezor hardware wallets.
— Safe share san safe import. Easily import and export wallets. Users will be able to export their mnemonic phrases with a QR code that is fully encrypted. Also, users will be able to import their wallets using a QR scanner.
— Epay card support. The epay card is a prepaid card that is managed on a prepaid basis. You can use your card to pay almost everywhere where MasterCard is accepted. On activation and once the card is topped up, you can use it worldwide: For online shopping, to pay in shops or to withdraw cash from an ATM.

The epay Mastercard is now available to our users in PolisPay version 8.0.0. It consists of a Mastercard® card, that can be recharged via the new feature of the PolisPay app: The gift cards.
The epay card is a prepaid card that is managed on a prepaid basis. You can use your card to pay almost everywhere where MasterCard is accepted. On activation and once the card is topped up, you can use it worldwide: For online shopping, to pay in shops or to withdraw cash from an ATM.

Regarding the PolisPay cards, there are some updates with the on-going process we would like to share:
— The UnionPay cards have arrived at our office.
— We are waiting on some documents for the API.
Olympus Protocol
The Olympus protocol was born when the Polis Core team realized the necessity of innovating on the blockchain technology field. The protocol inherits the fundamentals of the Bitcoin, Dash, and PeerCoin protocols, with some minor improvements.
With a new base code, the Olympus protocol seeks to give the development team the opportunity of innovating on uncharted aspects of the blockchain technology.
Important progress has been made regarding the Olympus network and we will soon begin testing on the pre-alpha testnet.
Community Management and Outreach
As part of an initiative incentivize the members of the Polis community to generate more projects on the Polis Ecosystem and to help the project in many ways, we have decided to create the channel #spartans on Discord.
There will be two main categories or roles within the community members: Spartans: the community members that wish to become Spartans will get access to public betas. To become a spartan, you just need to type on the #spartans channel:
!spartanIn the future, the community will vote on the most prominent Spartans and whether or not they shall be promoted to Athenians (Trusted Members).
Athenians: Trusted members of the community will get access to closed betas. They will also be part of monthly AMA where they will answer questions from the community on the project and on the current development status of the things that are being worked on.
