LIVE: Obama addresses the Healthcare.gov fiasco
The President just gave a very clear and, I think, compelling speech about why Obamacare was necessary—and why, despite the exchange failures, it’s actually working. The speech was as much live tech support as it was a bully pulpit argument for the entrepreneurial and social benefits of cost-effective, near-universally accessible health insurance.
As effective as it was, you may have found his mantra kind of familiar: Sign on to Obamacare. Get big savings. Hey, it’s worked for other insurance giants.
And people tend to forget what GEICO stands for: Government Employees Insurance Company, from its roots as an insurer that targeted government employees and U.S. servicemen and women.
