free country

I hate the term “it’s a free country.”

Mainly, it’s because of the way it’s used, but technically one cannot do just whatever. One does not have full liberty and individual rights. However, that is just part of living in a society. We give up some of our liberty to protect the majority of it.

While we have a freer country than most, it is still a country with a civil code, so stop using “it’s a free country” as an excuse for stupid shit. Start being a decent human being, or at least learn how to defend your actions.
