BUWAHAHAHAHAHAH He’s going to get sued by the migrants he so despises. I LOVE THIS OH SO MUCH!!

This meme will probably get a lot of use by me. It’s so dang adorable

Remember the vid of DeSantis and crew laughing at how HAR HAR funny it’s going to be to just toss immigrants in planes and on buses and ship them where ever? And how that would TOTALLY OWN THE LIBS and show those stinky brown people that they need to stop coming to this country?

Yeah…about that…whose laughing now?

Why it matters: The lawyers said their clients “were induced to board airplanes and cross state lines under false pretenses,” including promises of working opportunities, schooling for their children and immigration assistance, by people working with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

Nearly 50 Venezuelan migrants in total were dropped off in Martha’s Vineyard, a Massachusetts island, and have since been relocated to Joint Base Cape Cod, which had vacant housing and access to social services.

Thirty of those immigrants are being represented by attorneys from Lawyers for Civil Rights, a Boston-based organization that provides free legal support for communities of color and immigrants across Massachusetts.

What they’re saying: “It was only when the flight was in mid-air that they were informed they would be flown to Martha’s Vineyard, rather than to Boston as many had been told,” Lawyers for Civil Rights said in the letters to Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey and Rachael Rollins, U.S. attorney for the District of Massachusetts.

“Once the planes landed, those who had induced our clients to travel under these false pretenses disappeared, leaving our clients to learn that the offers of assistance had all been a ruse to exploit them for political purposes,” the organization added.

Rollins told the Boston Globe on Friday that her office is looking at “any and all legal action that we might be able to take” in response to the flights.

Oh, and the White House and the Cabinet are also looking into legal action.

And apparently, the Sheriff in TEXAS is none too happy that DeSantis snuck into his state and used migrants for this political stunt.

A Texas sheriff announced Monday evening he’s opened a criminal investigation into flights Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) arranged last week that took some 50 Venezuelan migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

Driving the news: DeSantis insists the flights were voluntary. But the Bexar County sheriff’s office said in an emailed statement that it “has opened an investigation into the migrants that were lured from the Migrant Resource Center” in the county, where San Antonio is located.

Worth noting: Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said at a news conference that it was unclear whether any laws were broken, but the migrants were “lured under false pretenses” into staying at a hotel before being flown to Florida and then Massachusetts.

He said they “were promised the solution to several of their problems,” including work. ( THAT’S KIDNAPPING)

Lawyers for some of the Venezuelan migrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard told Axios they were given misleading brochures promising “up to 8 months of cash assistance,” employment services, and housing assistance, “at some point during their expulsion and relocation from Texas and Florida.”

God, wouldn’t it be just fantastic if migrants sued DeSantis into oblivion and then he’s nailed for kidnapping and human trafficking? I mean, sure, that would make him a martyr for the MAGA types but it would put a rather large nail into the coffin for his 2024 Presidential run hopes.

The sheer cosmic irony here is just <chef’s kiss>.
