Every Single American will be Affected by At Least One Program that Trump’s Budget Slashes, Except the Uber Wealthy Like Trump

Although Donald Trump is taking the credit, conservative think tank, Heritage Foundation, has created our national budget, according to their website. That makes sense because everything a republican would want, is in that proposal. More enlightening though, everything a republican would not want, is decapitated. Every single social program that defines our country, for example, is slashed.

Fortunately, it is unlikely, that Trump’s proposed budget will creep any further through those decrepit halls of Washington. The budget is so horrifying, that even fellow republicans have vowed not to approve such a measure.

“The president will propose and the Congress will dispose,” said House appropriator Charlie Dent (R-Pa.) “We’ll look at his budget, but at the end of the day we in Congress write the appropriations bills, and I am not one who thinks you can pay for an increase in [military] spending on the backs of domestic discretionary programs, which constitute 13 or 14 percent of all federal spending.” Politico article

Trump promised to reduce our deficit. He also vowed to significantly raise the amount we spend on our defense by $54 billion. In addition, Trump also aims to add new massive expenditures such as his Great Wall and deporting illegal immigrants. How is that possible? It isn’t. Our president’s only hope is that the damage he reaps will not be discovered until after he leaves office.

Trump just released his budget. The budget removes funding for the National Endowment of Humanities, Americorps, and Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which owns PBS and NPR. The budget will also greatly slash foreign aid.

From the AmeriCorps website,

AmeriCorps engages more than 80,000 Americans in intensive service each year at 21,600 unique sites including nonprofits, schools, public agencies, and community and faith-based groups across the country. Since the program’s founding in 1994, more than 1 million AmeriCorps members have contributed more than 1.4 billion hours in service across America while tackling pressing problems and mobilizing more than 2.3 million volunteers for the organizations they serve.

Americorps is just .03% of our national budget. In other words, Americorps is but a bead of water in the ocean of our national budget. Still, Trump is touting the savings of destroying it.

AmeriCorps places thousands of young Americans into positions where they can earn money for school, learn skills and help other Americans. AmeriCorps is financed by the Corporation for National and Community Service, which also runs Senior Corps, a volunteer organization for people over 55.

Trump’s budget also eliminates dramatic cuts to the Department of Energy, the White House’s Office of National Drug Control Policy, as well as different grant programs that are designed to prevent violence against women. hypebot article

This budget is designed to reduce spending by $10.5 trillion over the next 10 years — $1.5 trillion a year. The programs listed on this page amount to $2.5 billion.

These programs offer assistance to a wide spectrum of Americans. Women, senior citizens, children, young adults and impoverished citizens all benefit from these programs. Ironically, the only demographic that does not benefit from these programs is the uber wealthy, the same elite class that our president belongs to.

President Trump will shoulder the blame. When children turn on PBS and Big Bird and are greeted with white static, their parents will undoubtedly blame Trump. Trump is not the one to blame.

Yes, his signature officially destroyed these countless programs that make America superior to most other countries around the world. However, someone is directing Trump. The conservative think tank Heritage Foundation provided a blueprint for Trump’s budget. Republicans have been itching to kill these programs for a long time. Such social programs have long been considered a waste of taxpayer money by republicans. hypebot article

Ultimately, it is us, the voters, who are the real culprits. As a result, the team in the above photograph no longer exists. Think of how many Americans will lose as a result. Trump and his uber wealthy buddies though, will prevail!
